Certified sleep consultants are dedicated to helping families get their babies to sleep through the night, and essentially get their full nights' rest back. Sleep consultants help parents learn the fundamentals of baby sleep and the consistency it requires. We teach parents different techniques to help get their babies to sleep on their own during naps and bedtime. We set up bedtime routines and strategies for great sleep habits.
I’ve always had a passion for helping families, women, and children. I graduated from Seton Hall University with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I worked on a Labor and Delivery unit as well as in a breast specialists office for a number of years. In addition to being a sleep consultant and parent educator, I work as a baby nurse/nanny for a wonderful family who introduced me to the world of sleep consulting. I graduated from the“Sleep, Baby, Sleep” consultant-training program in September 2015. This course is approved by the International Institute for Complementary Therapists and involves 80+ hours of instruction/research, case studies, testing, and an extensive mentoring program.
How does it work?
It does vary a bit by family, package choice, and sleep training implementation date but typically it starts with an email conversation or a quick 30 minute phone call. At that time we are able to discuss the reasons you are seeking a sleep consultant and what Cozy Little Ones is all about. You then will be able to make an informed decision on which package to choose based on your needs. After you've chosen a package, a contract and sleep assessment form will be sent to you. Once the assessment form is completed and emailed back we will work on your customized sleep plan. The customized sleep plan takes about 2 days and an implementation date will be chosen at this time. Your chosen package does not begin until the date of sleep training implementation. We like to give our clients 2 days to look over the sleep plan, ask any questions they may have, and help them feel prepared to sleep train. When it's finally the big day we are there with you through the process. You've gained a cheerleader and an additional support system. We help you stay consistent and make adjustments as necessary.
